Art and Bead Supplies Review | Multifilla

I woke up today, read my emails and just felt like pouring my heart out on all the art and beads shop that I always visited to get my stuffs. I know that many of you have always asked these questions and I tried my best to answer whatever I can.

Today, I am going to share with you all one of the most rare art shop in Kuala Lumpur. Multifilla has been one of my most loyal shops that I must always visit due to their hard-to-find supplies. I have known Uncle since many years back when I first started to explore the resins. He was the one who introduced resin and other rare form of art to me. Once, Uncle had given me his most precious antique postcards dated way back before Merdeka as a gift for being one of his most loyal customers (hehehe....spent a lot already ma..)They used to only sell at their stuffs at their HQ shop in Balakong. But recently they have just opened up their PJ branch. So during last weekend, only then I got the chance to visit them after procrastinating for weeks (no money lorr to buy, need to save first)

Upon arriving at the shop, I was not sure whthere I got the right address but oh boy, what a relief to see their huge bunting just outside the corridor.

Entering the shop. Shall we?

I was quite amazed with the overall concept of the store which uses a lot of raw materials as the architectural element for the shop. The floors were in polished concrete and the main backdrop are using recycled wood I guess. I thought they did a great job to this new branch as compared to the main HQ building which is slightly messy. Most importantly all the products were organized in accordance to their usage. What I like the most when visiting Multifilla, is that they are never stingy to share the art ideas. The staffs were very polite and helpful. Even when they are sure of something, they will pick up the phone to call Uncle to ask. Every time I went to Balakong, Uncle always demonstrate a lot of things and I think it was really inspiring.

Their pockets of shelves here consists lots and lots of rare findings such as watch parts, gears, mini screws, and a lot more specially for those who love mixed media art and steampunk jewelries.

They carry wide variety of silicone and plastic push mold. They also have release agents for plastic molds.

This is my new favorite section, the resins and mold maker. They even have soft clear resin which works perfectly on paper that does not have base setting. They also have dyes for both resins and rubber silicone.

The rubber silicone is a perfect option for any beginners in mold making but can be slightly messy. The Smooth-on mould works better though but it is slightly expensive. I will share my home made mold in my other post.

This section is dedicated mainly on soap and candle making. I have always wanted to make my own soap but never got the chance yet. Maybe I should someday. ;)

Lots and lots of acrylic paint bottles. I have never seen DecoArt paint as big as that. This probably works well for teacher at school.

I like what they did with the glasses above for demonstration. They do have these too if you want to make your own.

My dream tool, the Proxxon. But it is wayyyyy expensive. Need to save more money. They can demonstrate the tools for you upon your requests.

These are the metal stamping tools. My next target would be the art of metal stamping. They have all the alphabet stamps, disc cutter, dome, textured hammer, etc, etc.

They also have their own transfer image glue which is very easy to use. Maybe I'll demonstrate them someday.
